Vlad Darwin visited the biggest sporting event of the summer 2013, the international Universiade in Kazan. He was the only Ukrainian singer invited to represent Ukraine in Kazan. For over a year Vlad Darwin has been representing the UN youth team "Red Ribbon" in Ukraine. Together with the representatives from the countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia Vlad Darwin came to the Universiade with an important mission to promote HIV/AIDS prevention among visitors and residents of the capital of Tatarstan. Ayrat Farrakhov, Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, had a meeting with the members of the “Red Ribbon” team to exchange the knowledge and experience in the field of prevention of the global virus. At the meeting Vlad Darwin told about a number of positive trends in the struggle with HIV/AIDS in Ukraine: “The number of deaths caused by AIDS-related diseases fell by 12% during the first six months. Although small, the improvement proves that we are on the right track. Only by pooling the efforts of the governments and active individuals, like those in the "Red Ribbon" team, can we achieve our common goal: zero HIV cases, zero discrimination, zero AIDS-related deaths!” The culmination of the artist’s stay in Kazan was a concert that took place at the one of the central squares in front of the audience of 20,000 people from 24 countries. Vlad Darwin presented Ukraine by performing some of his hits. During the song “Amsterdam” the audience sang along.Скачать
